There are times in everyone's life when the path we are on seems damaged and full of potential problems.
All too often we are tempted to take what appears to be the easier road. But that road can lead to feelings of guilt, shame, doubt and self-loathing. But just because we make mistakes, it doesn't mean that we should give up. Why not?
For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God - Romans 3:23
Everyone is born with an eternal purpose. But our natural tendency is to follow a path away from God.
So persisting to go in the wrong direction only leads us into the same guilt, denial, self interest, bitterness and general dissatisfaction. But following God provides us with a permanent alternative of life everlasting.
The wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life - Romans 6:23
The alternative to all of the that misery is an unconditional love and eternal peace.
Because you were created with the highest of intentions, God does not want anyone to spend this life and the next outside of His presence. For that reason He made the greatest sacrifice in history so the you wouldn't have to do do the work yourself
God loved us so much that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. -
A lack of faith is the only thing that stands between us and peace with God.
That faith must be directed toward the work of Jesus Christ. He was in the beginning of everything. He came to earth, born of a virgin as the Son of God. He ministered for 3 years proclaiming the kingdom of God. He was crucified as a substitute for our sins, was buried and was risen on the third day. If you can openly accept this truth and believe this truth, then your path as well as your life has been permanently changed.
If you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead you shall be saved - Romans 10:9
